Worked on my first ring with stone setting. The ring broke a few weeks ago along the line I soldered while I was texturizing it, and I re-soldered but it became especially thin where the repair occurred.
Lindsey had the idea to solder a flat circle over the thin part and solder a ring setting on top of that, and it worked!

Wednesday, February 18th

Spent the afternoon sodering posts for PMC stud earrings...
dropped in pickle pot and brushed back extra soder with rubber head on drill. Then brushed back again and patinad! Photos next week...

First Collection!

I just finished my first collection for Angie Star. It features 13 pieces made of oxidized silver, copper, gold, rose quartz, pearls and knotted silk cord. I stamped several pieces with words taken from a Latin poem which goes a little like this:

"Ama me fideliter! Fidem meam noto. De corde totaliter, et ex mente total. Sum presentaliter, absens in remota."

This translates to:
"Love me faithfully! See how I am faithful. With all my heart, and all my soul. I am with you, though I am far away."

Just in time for Valentine's Day.
