Fall 2009 Collection!

It took me six months, but I've rounded out my second Angie Star collection at last. This line was inspired by a deep desire to return to the oceanside in 2009 which sadly, remains unfulfilled. I tried to incorporate a sense of changing seasons with these pieces as I began the collection in summer and finished at the beginning of autumn.

Please excuse the poor photography as that is not and has never been my strong point.

About the collection:
Stones used include mother of pearl, miniature seashells, carved shells, coral, pearls, green amethyst, steel quartz, citrine and iolite. In addition, several of the pieces contain PMC (precious metal clay) components. To learn more about exactly what PMC is and how it works, please click this link. Several of these PMC charms are replicas made using molds of actual sharks teeth and coral. The teeth hold some sentimental value for me; I found the originals while beach combing on vacation as a child. The coral is molded from a piece of farmed coral (thus not obtained as part of the coral farming which strips the ocean of wild coral .)

Fall 2009 Collection!

... And here are a few pieces which I made for the collection but couldn't help from keeping for myself.

Silver chain, wire wrapped pearl and steel quartz and coral charm made from precious metal clay. What is precious metal clay?

Coral, pearl & chain earrings which I admit are a little psycho but are currently my favorite thing to wear.

One (or two, technically) of the first pieces I made for the collection: goldfill chain, pink mother of pearl and delicate little pearls. If I had been able to find more of these pink shell pieces I would have duplicated another pair to sell, because I couldn't bring myself to give away this pair.
